http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2014/04/nigeria-becomes-africa-largest-economy-20144618190520102.html i was astonished after reading the article.it threw more view on what is happening in Nigeria today.Nigeria don't have to compete with any other Africa countries because of the resources God has given them.Nigeria been oil top producer from 80.22 trillion Naira. which is equivalent to $509.bn has moved up to 42.3trillion which is a huge improvement in Nigeria economy today.I believed that if Nigeria keep track and continue running their GDP will show them the extent that they have gone.But it shows that they have not done so since 1990.Bismarck Rervane also state the 'Exercise in vanity' which shows that the masses do not benefit from the resources but the government.
